The short version

Platedle has no accounts and does not ask for your name or email. Your guesses and stats are saved in your own browser. We count how many puzzles are played without knowing who you are. The site may show ads from Google, which may use cookies, and in the EU, the UK and Switzerland you choose whether they can.

What stays on your device

Your guesses, results and streak are stored in your browser's local storage so you can pick up where you left off. They never leave your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.

What we count

When a puzzle is opened, started, finished or shared, the game sends a tiny anonymous note: which puzzle, what happened, how many guesses it took and the website you came from (only its name, never the page). We keep only running totals per puzzle and per country, where the country comes from our host and your IP address is never stored. There are no ids, no cookies and no advertising ids in these counts.

Ads and cookies

Platedle may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's ad settings and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first and can change their choice at any time.

Your data and deleting it

Since we hold no personal data, there is nothing to delete on our side. To remove your progress, clear this site's data in your browser.
